Child Care

The Ottawa County Department of Job and Family Services determines eligibility for the Child Care program for low income parents to have their child care costs partially paid by the agency. This program provides help to allow parents to work, obtain training, or attend school while being assured that the children are cared for in a safe, quality environment.

To apply for Child Care Benefits or for more information about the Child Care program visit the Parent/Caretaker page.

Parents or caretakers choose from home providers and child care centers that have provider agreements with the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services. Homes and child care centers are licensed by the State of Ohio and parents may have a required co-payment to assist with the cost of care.
